Knowing Your Website Packaging

Posted bymorrisvmansour 2015-09-282015-12-02

If you like your gift wrapped in special paper or secured then you should know which gift bag to use. It is the same thing with website packaging. You need to know which among the available retail gift bags you should use, or in the case, which template design works best. In choosing the perfect website design, you need to consider what suits your personality, the content of your site, and the convenience your potential visitors.

Here are some guidelines that can help you narrow down your choices.

1. Modern Grid Design – This is the most common website design that you can use. Although the grid is invisible to the naked eye, doing this technique will set balance in layouts. Not to mention it is aesthetically neat. The grid is an intersection of vertical and horizontal lines and many designers use it as en embellishment. The benefit of using a grid to the visitors is that it sets the path for people to follow while they are on the website. It is also used to combine different components while leaving them as independent units.

2. Responsive Design – Gone are days when your smartphones would have a different screen projection from those on laptops and computers. Before, some sections on desktop or laptop screens would not be viewable on smartphones or tablets. But now, thanks to the futuristic design called responsive technique, users can get an equal viewing experience. The responsive design makes the display flexible in any device. It has also been proven to be very effective today.

These are just a few of the many website designs that you can use. Always remember that even if there are a lot of templates or designs available, it still boils down to your viewers or visitors. Try to make your website design visitor-friendly and relevant. You can always put yourself on your visitors’ shoes and ask these questions: Why did you visit the website in the first place? Will your decision be affected whether the button is on the bottom right or the upper left corner of the site? Will you visit this website again?
