With Wp-Themes Blue i have tried really to push the standards for how should be a free WordPress theme regarding design, clean coding and functionality. The theme have built in all important functions like thumbnail extraction from post images or using custom fields, featured content section on the homepage, built in contact form, banner ad management, built in newsletter and much more. Of course the theme is WordPress 2.7 ready and fix png issues in ie 6. Try using transparent png images in the featured section area for a cool effect.
